Stellar Phoenix Deleted Email Recovery v2.0 is a comprehensive Deleted Email Recovery solution for Microsoft Office Outlook and Outlook Express. The software scans, searches, and then locates Items Deleted from PST and DBX file(s), while ensuring that there is no damage or change to the original files. The recoverable items are then listed and allowed for previewing and sorting. After getting the required results, you can click 'Save' option to define the file format and required 'Destination Path' to restore the files. Designed for Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2003, 2000 and NT4 (SP6), the tool can Recover Deleted Emails and allows you to preview them before recovery.

As you launch the software, the main window of the software shows you two icons, namely 'Microsoft Outlook Email Recovery' and 'Outlook Express Email Recovery'. Clicking on either of the icons provides you corresponding options to recover deleted e-mails. The recovery process for each is explained underneath.

Microsoft Outlook Email Recovery

'Microsoft Outlook Email Recovery' icon lets you select the required PST from a known location or search it in different drives, folders, and sub-folders. After choosing the file, you can click 'Recover', to start recovering deleted items.

• Select PST : The option allows you to browse and select a PST file from a known location. It opens a Windows -like 'Open' box to let you navigate to the file.
• Find PST : Click 'Find PST' if you are unaware of the exact location of your PST. It shows another dialog-box that consists of a 'Look in' drop-down list to select a drive and 'Search folder' button to choose a folder. By checking/unchecking 'Search Subfolders' option, you can include/exclude the consisting subfolders to search for *.pst files in a folder. As you click 'Start', it initiates searching for *.pst files in the selected drive or folder and then lists them at the bottom of dialog-box.
• Recover : The option starts scanning the selected PST file for deleted e-mails and other objects. Once it completes the scanning, the recoverable items are listed in a tree-view and can be previewed in the 3-pane window.

Outlook Express Email Recovery

• Select DBX : Allows you to select a DBX file from known location. It opens a Windows -like 'Open' box to facilitate you in navigating to the file.
• Find DBX : Find DBX if you are unaware of the exact location of your DBX file. It shows another dialog-box that consists a 'Look in' drop-down list, to select a drive and a 'Search folder' button to choose a folder. By checking/unchecking 'Search Subfolders' option, you can include/exclude the consisting subfolders to search for *.dbx files in a folder. As you click 'Start', it initiates searching for *.dbx files in the selected drive or folder and then lists them at the bottom of dialog-box.
• Select Folder : The option lets you select a folder that contains multiple *.dbx files. As you select a folder, the Deleted email recovery software scans the folder and lists all the *.dbx files. You can choose the required *.dbx files and click 'OK'
• Recover : The option starts scanning the selected DBX file(s) for deleted e-mails. Once it completes the scanning, all scanned DBX file(s) are listed in left-pane of the window and the corresponding recoverable e-mails are listed in right-side of the window. You can also preview them.

Steps to Recover E-mails from a PST File:

• Start the application
• Click 'Microsoft Outlook Email Recovery' icon
• Click 'Select PST' to browse to the file directly or click 'Find PST' to search in the required drive, folder, or sub-folder
• Select the required PST file
• Click 'Recover'
• Preview the deleted e-mails and other items
• Click 'Save'
• A dialog-box will display to allow you to choose the required file format (.pst, .eml, or .msg)
• Select the required format and specify the destination path (the default destination path is root by default)
• Click 'OK'. Your deleted files will be restored to the specified location.

Steps to Recover E-mails from a DBX File:

• Start the application
• Click 'Outlook Express Email Recovery' icon
• Click 'Select DBX' to browse the file directly or click 'Find DBX' to search in the required drive, folder, or sub-folder or click 'Select Folder' to choose a required folder
• Select the required DBX file(s)
• Click 'Recover'
• Preview the deleted e-mails
• Click 'Save'
• A dialog-box will be displayed to allow you to choose the required file format (.dbx or .eml)
• Select the required format and specify the destination path (the default destination path is root by default)
• Click 'OK'. Your deleted files will be restored at the specified location.

Important:

• Make sure Outlook and Outlook Express are closed before running the software
• In 'Microsoft Outlook Email Recovery' option, you can only save e-mails, and not other items in .msg and .eml format
