How do I recover Deleted files ?

Please follow the below steps to recover you deleted files :

• Click the 'Select Physical Disk' button on the Icon Toolbar.
• A dialog box appears listing the physical disk(s) available.
• Select the physical disk that contains the deleted file(s) or folder(s).
• Another dialog box pops up, select 'Select NSS Pool' option.
• Select the Pool which contains the volume from which you need to locate the deleted files & folders.
• Another dialog box pops up, select 'Select Volume' option.
• Select the volume from you need to locate deleted files and folders.
• Phoenix would scan the selected volume for all the deleted file(s) or folder(s) and would present the list of found file(s) or folder(s).
• Select the deleted file(s) and folder(s) and select the option 'Recover Selected' or press recover deleted to recover all deleted files (please make sure that do not recover the data on the same drive from which you are trying to recover the data

How can I recover my compressed files ?

 

Pre-Requisites

 

• You'll need another working Novell NetWare server preferably with 5.x version or any Novell Netware Server between version 4.x and 6.x.
• Free Space on a NWFS (Traditional) partition on the NetWare server.
• Novell Client with Netware Logon configured.

 

Procedure

 

• After recovering data from the crashed server(s) many files will not open, as the files were earlier stored in compressed form that is supported by Novell NetWare version 4.x and above.
• Once you have recovered all the files, upload all the file to the NWFS volume.
• Bring down the server and attach the drive containing NWFS partition and recovered data to the machine where Stellar Phoenix Novell(NWFS) is installed execute the utility 'data_integrity.exe' from the programs menu option of Stellar Phoenix NOVELL(NWFS), and use the utility to check the integrity of the files.
• Once the files have been checked, attach the drive back to the server and reboot the server.
• Thereafter copy the de-compressed data back to the client in a new folder and put the data in their respective user folders for the users to verify the data.

 

(Please make sure that do not recover the data on the same drive from which you are trying to recover the data)

How can I recover my data from the Deleted volume ?

 

Please follow the below procedure to recover data from the deleted volume :

 

• Go to 'Drive' menu and then select the option 'Advance Search for NSS volumes'.
• A dialog would appear Press Yes, and another dialog box would appear.
• Select the disk in which you need to search the missing/deleted volumes and press 'OK' the software would scan the drive to locate the volumes and would give you a list of the volumes it finds.
• Further you can select the volume to recover the data from the found volume.
• Phoenix would scan the selected volume for all the file(s) or folder(s) and would present the list of found file(s) or folder(s).
• Select the file(s) and folder(s) and select the option 'Recover to recover all files (please make sure that do not recover the data on the same drive from which you are trying to recover the data).
