Unable to create a boot disk for stellar to defrag.
My Lion iMac will not boot from the created StellarBootDefrag.dmg disk.
please help

I think you haven’t properly created a bootable dvd from which you can boot your Mac and defrag boot drive. Please read the User Manual to how you can create Bootable DVD http://www.stellarinfo.com/installation-guide/drive-defrag/User-Guide.pdf.
