Q. I am using the demo version of the software. The software has scanned my Hard disk but I am still not able to see my data.
A. If your data is not visible using standard search you need to try the advanced search option in our software. This feature is helpful in the cases when the file(s) and folder(s) are not visible in standard search. To recover these files an intensive search process is required.

To execute Advanced Search go to Tools menu and select Advanced Search option. This rigorous search process looks for the still missing file(s) and folder(s) in the selected drive.

This process is time intensive and can take few hours in some instances.

If the file(s) and folder(s) are still not visible after this search process; the files or its control information is overwritten and the data cannot be restored.

Q. My partition table is damaged and no information about logical drives is available, How should I proceed in doing the recovery.
A. If the partition table is damaged and no information about logical drives is available, you should select "Search for logical drives".

If you select the option to search for partitions, Stellar Phoenix searches for partitions or logical drives in the hard disk and updates you the result.

Q. I want to recover a few deleted files can I do a selective recovery of files.
A. Stellar phoenix gives you an option of doing selected file recovery.

Q. How long does it takes for the software to complete the scanning process?
A. The time taken for scanning varies depending upon the size of your Hard disk and the extent of damage in your Hard disk.

Q. Is it a repair tool like NDD or Scan disk?
A. No, Phoenix is not a repair tool. It never writes or tries to repair the hard disk. It only recovers the latest information available in the hard disk and transfers the data safely into another partition/hard disk or any other storage media. It is also very safe for novices as no accidental damage is caused by the use of this software.
