This Mac File Recovery Software has modules to perform File Recovery, Volume Recovery and Raw Recovery from Macintosh OS X 10.3.9 and its higher versions including Tiger, Leopard, Snow Leopard. Macintosh Data Recovery can be used to recovery data from internal and external hard drives, Memory Cards, USB flash drives and iPods.
Stellar Phoenix Macintosh Data Recovery 4.1 gives various Recovery modules in the form of tabs. The Tabs include Drive Recovery Tab, iPod Recovery Tab, Photo Recovery Tab, Resume Recovery Tab and Create Image Tab.
Drive Recovery Tab of this Macintosh file Recovery software further provides Quick Recovery, Deleted File Recovery, Formatted/Lost File and Folder Recovery, and Search Lost Volume Options.
iPod Recovery Tab of Mac data recovery tool allows recovering lost/deleted songs, videos, images and other multimedia files from an attached iPod. This tab further gives flexibility in data recovery with various options like Quick Recovery, Deleted File Recovery and Formatted/Lost File and Folder Recovery.
Photo Recovery Tab recovers lost/deleted photos, video and audio files from Macintosh systems. After selecting the region for data recovery and clicking CONTINUE, scanning of the hard drive starts. Macintosh File recovery can be done immediately, or scan results could be saved with the “SAVE SCAN” option for performing recovery at some other time. For later recovery, one needs to simply load the image file that was created earlier.
Resume Recovery Tab allows users to load Image of a prior scanning to resume the recovery process. It is an extra feature that facilitates Macintosh file recovery in stages, i.e., it loads the scanned information (that was saved earlier with Save Scan) and starts the recovery.
Note : This feature allows users to recover files in stages. It should not be confused with resume scan, in case of an incomplete scan!!
Create Image creates an image of the selected drive having all the information including contents and structure of the drive. It also allows to choose the area for imaging, i.e., to specify the starting sector and the ending sector. Create Image comes handy when the system has developed bad sectors or has crashed, and hence, scanning has become slow. Sector-by-sector imaging is done (for the good sectors) and a copy of the structure and contents of a storage device are created. Since the image is taken for the good sectors only, recovery from this image is fast.
Along with scanning the hard disk for recovery, the Macintosh Recovery Software allows saving the scan result(for recovery at some other time), finding specific files, masking to narrow the scan process and filtering to scan files on the basis of extension.

How to recover data from a drive that contains bad sectors ? Please follow the below procedure to recover the data.
Once the image file is created, you can recover the data from that image file created.
How do I recover data from an inaccessible drive of Macintosh ? Please follow either one of the procedure mentioned below:
1. Insert Stellar Phoenix Macintosh Boot DVD in DVD drive and restart your computer.
Press ‘C’ key till the time your system doesn’t boot from DVD
The License Agreement screen of the software will appear. Click ‘I Agree’ button and you will get into Recovery Options screen of the software.
After this all the recoverable file would be listed in the software and you just need to click "Recover" to recover all the listed files.
2. If you do not have the bootable DVD with you, then follow the below procedure
Connect your hard drive from which you want to recover your data, to another working Macintosh system and install our software on that working Macintosh system. Now follow the below mentioned scanning procedure with the stellar software.
After this all the recoverable files would be listed in the software and you just need to click "Recover" to recover all the listed files.

My problem was created during the installation of Mac OSX Bootcamp using Leopard OS. The installation failed before completion and left an attached drive (and years of irreplaceable digital images) with it's Mac partition overwritten by Windows and accessible by neither operating system.

Dear Sirs...I would like to thank you for an extremely well made Product. Your Stellar Data Recovery Software saved some very important files for me that looked like they were lost forever. For just over $100 I was able to fully recover data from a hard disc that was breaking down and on its last legs. The Manufacturer couldnt help me, Data Recovery firms charge a minimum of $750 just to look at the hard disc and then up to thousands of dollars if you want to actually recover your files. I downloaded the free program - Stellar-Phoenix - and veerryy slloowwllyy it began to read files from the corrupted Camera SD chip into a file I created and called "Recovery". I went to bed while it was running. At about 5 in the morning I checked on it and it said it had completed the recovery process. I clicked on one of the restored file names and LO AND BEHOLD there was a small picture. I couldn't save it and all the icon tools for the program were grayed out except for the one that said, "buy the program on line". So I did - for $129. After entering two incredibly long activation codes it ran for another several hours and actually recovered all of the 700 plus pictures from the chip.

I recently purchased your data recovery software and let me tell you it was a life saver. I was working off of an external hard drive that i had partitioned when the fire wire cable got jerked out of the computer. i got the usual warning that i had unsafely removed a device and when i went to reconnect the hard drive, the entire partition was gone!! i tried everything to see if i could repair the partition to no avail. I went online and found your software. i downloaded the free trial version and installed it. it found the partition and all of the information on it. i the purchased the serial number and started it back up. Thank you so much!! Backing up information on an external drive is supposed to keep you from completely loosing information but you never really think about what happened to me. Excellent, excellent.
