Step:1
On the main interface of Stellar Phoenix Mac Data Recovery, click 'Recover Data' to start recovering lost or deleted files from Mac hard drives/volumes.

Step:2
Drive Recovery has four sub-modules as shown. The recovery steps are similar for each of these modules. Click 'Quick Recovery' under 'Drive Recovery' tab.

Select the desired volume under the 'Volume(s)' list and click right arrow in the bottom-right corner of the screen to start scanning.

The progress bar displayed in the interface shows the amount of scanning completed.

The scan results are shown in the left pane in three types of file views: 'Classic List', 'File List', and 'Filter List'. Select the desired view for sorting your files. You can type a file name in the 'Search' bar to search for a specific file.

When you right-click a file in the bottom-right pane, you get two options as shown. Select 'Quick Look' for previewing this file with OS X's Quick Look. Select 'Recover' for recovering the selected file.

The software shows you the preview of a selected image file with Quick Look.

Select all files and folders you need to recover and click 'Recover' button at the bottom to initiate recovery.

Specify a destination for saving selected files in the 'Open Directory' dialog and click 'Choose'.

If you choose to save the recovered data on the same drive (i.e. source), you will get a message as shown. It is recommended to choose destination different from the source.

The software starts saving the selected files to your specified destination. You can view the process status in the two progress bars as shown.

Run the software and click 'Recover Data' button on the main screen.

On the next screen, select the 'Photo Recovery' tab to display the 'Photo Recovery' module as shown. Select the desired media to scan in the 'Media Name' list and click arrow button in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Software starts scanning your selected drive for lost or deleted photos. The progress bar indicates the scan status.

Right-click an image file in the bottom-right pane and choose 'Quick Look' to preview this image with Quick Look. You may also choose 'Recover' to recover the selected image to a desired location.

The software provides preview of images in OS X's built-in Quick Look.

Choose the desired photos for recovery and click 'Recover' as shown.

Provide a destination for saving the selected items in the 'Open Directory' dialog and click 'Choose'.

For better recovery result and avoid overwriting, select a different drive/volume to save the recovered data.

On the first screen of Stellar Phoenix Mac Data Recovery, click ‘Recover Data’. (NOTE: For CD DVD Recovery, insert the optical disc to be recovered into your CD/DVD drive before proceeding to the next steps.)

On the next screen, select the ‘CD DVD Recovery’ tab to open the following interface as shown. The inserted optical disc will be displayed below ‘Media Name’. Select this optical disc and click arrow button at the bottom-right.

When the scan is completed, the software displays all data found on different tracks and sessions on your optical media in the main interface. You can select a file list view in the left pane to get the desired arrangement of files.

Select the desired files and folders for recovery and click 'Recover' to start the process.

Provide a destination to save the recovered data. The software begins to save the selected files to your location of choice. Two progress bars show the status of saving process.

Once you launch the software, click ‘Recover Data’ on the main screen. (NOTE: For iPod Recovery, you need to attach your iPod to the system where the software is installed.)

The ‘iPod Recovery’ module comprises three different types of scan methods as shown: ‘Quick Recovery’, ‘Deleted Recovery’ and ‘Advance Recovery’. Select the desired scan method.

Select the iPod volume displayed in the grid and click the arrow button to the bottom-right for initiating the scan process.

Once the software scans your iPod volume, it displays all the found data in the interface. You can switch to the desired file view type to sort recoverable files as desired.

Select the files and folders you need to recover and click 'Recover' at the bottom. Provide a destination to save these files to your system.

The two progress bars show the amount of saving finished.

Once you run the software, the main interface is displayed as shown. Click 'Recover Data' to proceed for 'Raw Recovery'.

On the next screen, select the 'Raw Recovery' tab to display the given interface. Select the desired drive to be scanned under 'Media Name' and choose a specific region of this drive in the 'Select Region' section (optional). Click the arrow button at bottom-right to start scanning.

The progress bar gives you the status of scan at any given point.

As the software scans your media through 'Raw Recovery', you will see a list of recoverable files displayed according to file category in the left pane. This is the File List view.

Select the desired files and folders for recovery and click 'Recover' as shown.

Specify a destination to save the recovered data in the displayed 'Open Directory' dialog. Click 'Choose'.

The software starts saving the selected files and displays the process status through a dynamic progress bar.

Step:1
Launch Stellar Phoenix Mac Data Recovery and select ‘Create Image’ on the first screen of the main interface.

Step:2
Select the media to be imaged in the given list of drives and volumes and specify the region of this media using the two pointers for ‘Starting Sector’ and ‘Ending Sector’ in the ‘Select Region’ section. Click the arrow button in bottom-right corner and specify a location to save this image.

Step:3
If your source and destination drives are same, you get a warning message as shown. It is recommended to save the image to a location other than the source.

Step:4
The imaging process is shown in a grid where each square indicates a hard drive block. The software shows all the bad blocks on your media in red color.

Step:1
Run the software and click ‘Resume Recovery’ on the main screen.

Select an image or saved scan file to be scanned for data recovery. If the required file is not listed, you can click ‘+’ button to browse for the file manually. Click arrow button in the bottom-right corner to start recovering data.

Select the type of recovery to be performed under ‘Drive Recovery’ tab to start the recovery process.

After the software finishes scanning, it lists all the files and folders contained within the selected image in the main interface. Select the desired files for recovery and click ‘Recover’.

Provide a destination to save the recovered data to your system.
