How can I use Partition Manager Utility in Drive ToolBox?

 

Stellar Drive Toolbox is a comprehensive tool that allows you to manage your Mac partitions or volumes easily. Partition Manager Module of Stellar Drive Toolbox provides you with the following options:

Add Partition:
This option allows you to create a new partition on the hard drive and the space required is taken from the available free space

      How to Create a New Partition:

=> Start Stellar Drive Toolbox. Select 'Partition Manager' and click 'Continue'.
=> From the left pane, choose the drive on which you need to create the partition.
=> Click 'Add' button on the tool bar. The 'Add New Volume' dialog box appears.
=> In the dialog box, specify the size and name for the new partition and click 'OK'.
=> In the 'Tasks To Do' list, you will see the task to add the new partition. Now, click on 'Start' button.
=> A warning message will be shown to you. Click 'Continue'.   
=> When the process is completed, the recently added partition will appear in the middle pane along with the other existing partitions.   

Format Partition:
With this option, you can delete all the unwanted data from a partition/volume and store data afresh.

      How to Format a Partition:
=> Run Stellar Drive Toolbox and choose 'Partition Manager'. Click 'Continue'.
=> From the left pane, select the hard drive containing the partition that you need to format.
=> Choose the desired partition to be formatted from the middle pane.
=> Click 'Format' button on the tool bar.
=> You will see the task to format the selected partition in the 'Tasks To Do' list. Now, click 'Start button to initiate all the listed tasks.
=> Click 'Continue' when you see a warning message.
=> After completion of the process, all the content of the specified partition gets erased.  

Delete Partition:
This option allows deleting a partition/volume from the hard disk, thereby erasing all the data stored in it. The space allocated to the deleted volume will be marked as free space.

      How to Delete a Partition:
=> Run Stellar Drive Toolbox. Select the 'Partition Manager' option and click 'Continue'.
=> From the left pane, you need to select the hard drive containing the partition to be deleted.
=> Select the desired partition from the middle pane and click 'Delete' button on the tool bar.
=> Click on 'Start' button to start the tasks listed in the 'Tasks To Do' list.
=> A warning message is displayed. Click 'Continue'.
=> After the process is finished, the specified partition is deleted from the selected drive.
 
Hide Partition:
Using this option, you can hide a partition or volume temporarily. This feature helps protecting the corresponding partition/volume from unwanted user access. In order to add an extra level of security, the hidden partition is automatically renamed by the utility.  

      How to Hide a Partition:
=> Start Stellar Drive Toolbox. Choose 'Partition Manager' and click 'Continue'.
=> In the left pane, choose the drive that contains the partition to be hidden.
=> Select the desired partition from the middle pane.
=> Click 'Hide' button on the tool bar.
=> The task to hide the selected partition will be displayed in the 'Tasks To Do' list. Now, click on 'Start' button.
=> You will see a warning message on your screen. Click 'Continue'.
 
Reveal Partition:
Using the 'Reveal' option, you can easily mount or unhide the hidden partition/volume. The revealed partition or volume will have its original name.

Note: No other utility is able to reveal the partition, hidden by Partition Manager. Moreover, only you can unhide the partitions using Partition Manager utility by Stellar Drive ToolBox.

      How to Reveal a Partition:
=> Run Stellar Drive Toolbox and select 'Partition Manager'. Now, click 'Continue'.
=> In the left pane, choose the drive containing the hidden partition.
=> Click 'Reveal' button on the tool bar.
=> The task to reveal the selected hidden partition will be displayed in the 'Task To Do' list. Click 'Start' button to initiate all the listed tasks.
=> When you see a warning message, click 'Continue'.
=> Once the process is completed, you will be able to see the hidden partition again in your system.

Resizing Mac Partition:
If a partition or volume on the hard drive has extra space or needs more space, then Partition Manager allows you to resize the particular Mac volume. You can drag the edge of the partition downward or upward in order to increase or decrease the size of the corresponding volume.

      How to Resize a Partition:
=> Start Stellar Drive Toolbox. Choose 'Partition Manager' and click 'Continue'.
=> From the left pane, choose the hard drive that contains the partition to be resized.
=> Select the desired partition from the middle pane.
=> Specify the partition size by dragging the partition edge upwards and downwards.
=> The task to resize the selected partition will be listed in the 'Tasks To Do' list.
=> Now, click on 'Start' button to initiate all the listed tasks.
=> A warning message appears on your screen. Click 'Continue'.
=> After completion of the process, the resized partition will be displayed in the middle pane.
