My emails in the 'Inbox' folder have become inaccessible. I am currently using MS Outlook 2002. How can I recover these emails as individual 'EML' files?
The 'Inbox' folder in your PST file may become inaccessible due to many reasons, such as over-sized PST file, virus infection, hard disk failure etc. Perhaps, an over-sized PST file is the most frequent problem faced by all MS Outlook users. In the 'Select Outlook Data File' dialog box, click 'Select Outlook File' and browse to the location of the desired PST file to be repaired. You can also search for a specific PST file in your system using 'Find Outlook File' option.
Click 'Start' button to begin the scanning process. Once the scan is complete, all recovered mailbox folders will be displayed in the left pane. When you select a particular folder, all items in that folder will be listed in the top-right pane. You can click an item to see its preview at the bottom.
Click 'Find' button at the top to search for the desired emails that you need to recover. A 'Search messages' dialog box will appear. Specify the required fields in the 'To', 'From', and 'Subject' text boxes. You can also provide the 'Date' field by marking the check-box and choosing a particular date from the 'Date' drop-down.
Click 'Find Now' to start the search process. When the search process is complete, the list of all messages that comply with the specified criteria will be displayed at the bottom. You can double-click a message to view its content in a separate window.
When you right-click a message in the list, you will see two options, 'Save as MSG' or 'Save as EML'. Choose 'Save as EML' to save the message in EML format.
