You can recover data from a hard drive that has bad sectors by using the Create Image option of Mac Data Recovery.

Note: Recovery of data from hard drive that has bad sectors is only possible up to an extent and full recovery of data is not possible.

To recover the data using the Create Image option, follow the steps mentioned below:

Click on the Start Scan in the main user interface. A window with the following recovery options opens:

Recover Data

Deleted Recovery

Raw Recovery

Create Image

Select the hard drive having bad sectors and click Create Image option then click on Continue. Select region to image the hard drive. If you are unsure of the drive region then proceed with default selection. Name the disk image file and save it to a location. The software starts imaging the selected hard drive. Select the disk image file and click on a recovery option to initiate the scan.

The software will scan the disk image file of the hard drive which had bad sectors. Once scanning is done, preview all recoverable files and save them to a safe location.
