On November 9, 2018, Apple has announced free Solid-State Drive Service Program for the 13-inch MacBook Pro computers without touch bar that retailed between June 2017 and June 2018.

Apple launched the worldwide program to address an issue with the in-built 128 or 256 GB SSDs found in these Mac machines that may result in data loss and SSD failure.

Owners of 13-inch MacBook Pro with touch bar or an older 13-inch MacBook Pro machines have no affect with this issue, so they do not need to worry.
