(iv) View the information related to the storage drive from the popup window.
(v) In the General section, look at the storage drive’s necessary information, namely:
- Kind, which specifies the type of storage drive
- Created indicates the timestamp when the storage drive was formatted
- Modified specifies the timestamp when the storage drive was last modified
- Format identifies the file system of the storage drive
- Capacity shows the physical space of the storage drive
- Available indicates how much space in the storage drive is available for use
- Used specifies how much space in the storage drive is currently used
- Label defines the storage drive color code
(vi) Click More Info, Name & Extension, Preview, and Sharing & Permission sections to expand the corresponding information associated with the storage drive.
Mac Storage Drive Partition
To check the Mac storage drive partition, perform the following:
(i) Press the Command + Space Bar keys to open Spotlight.
(ii) Type ‘disk utility’ then hit Return to open Disk Utility.
