Additionally, this tool has several limitations, such as:&nbsp;<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It may not repair PST files with severe B&#8209;Tree structural corruption.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It cannot repair a large Unicode PST file above 20&ndash;25 GB.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mail items that are not repaired are discarded, resulting in permanent data loss.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It may freeze or crash when handling large or complex corruption.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This tool can only repair the file structure, such as headers, indexes, and tables.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It may fail to maintain the original folder hierarchy and metadata.<\/li>\n<\/ul><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this post, we will cover scenarios where <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stellarinfo.com\/article\/scanpst-freezes-fails-not-responding-to-repair-pst.php\">ScanPST fails<\/a> and explain how to repair the PST file without ScanPST.&nbsp;<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"scenarios-where-you-need-to-repair-corrupt-pst-without-scanpst\"><strong>Scenarios where you Need to Repair Corrupt PST without SCANPST<\/strong><\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ScanPST is capable of repairing minor inconsistencies in Outlook data files, <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/troubleshoot\/outlook\/data-files\/how-to-repair-personal-folder-file\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">as per Microsoft<\/a>. Outlook relies on an internal indexing structure to efficiently manage this data. If this structure becomes severely corrupted, Outlook may have trouble accessing your mailbox. This can lead to issues like missing emails, missing folders, and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stellarinfo.com\/article\/fix-error-outlook-365-keeps-crashing.php\">Outlook crashes<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ScanPST can only fix minor PST corruption.
