e.<\/strong> Now that you have entered into Safe Mode, you can try out the following fixes to resolve the Driver_Power_State_Failure error.<\/p>

Method 1: Update Device Drivers<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>

You may encounter this error due to faulty or outdated graphics drivers and Wi-Fi card drivers. It makes complete sense to update both of these drivers to fix the ‘Driver Power State Failure’ error. Follow the given steps:<\/p>

d.<\/strong> Now, select ‘Search automatically for drivers.’ (See Image 7)<\/strong><\/p>

e.<\/strong> Complete the process. Once the process is done, restart your computer and check if the error is resolved.<\/p>

If you want to update the Wi-Fi card driver, expand Network adapters and follow the same steps as explained above.<\/strong><\/p>

Method 2: Uninstall Incompatible Third-Party Device Driver<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>

Any third-party drivers installed on your system may also cause the ‘Driver Power State Failure’ error. If you have recently installed any third-party driver software, which is corrupt or incompatible with your system or hardware on your system, it could cause Driver_Power_State_Failure error. Uninstall the driver with the following steps:<\/p>

a.<\/strong> Go to Device Manager, expand the category of the device for which you have installed the driver.<\/p>

b.<\/strong> Right-click on the drive and click Uninstall device. (See Image 8)<\/strong><\/p>

c.<\/strong> Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed.<\/p>

d.<\/strong> After uninstalling the driver, reboot your system to check if you have fixed the error.<\/p>

Method 3: Change Your Power Settings<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>

Invalid power settings may also cause the ‘Driver Power State Failure’<\/strong> error on their Windows system. You may try disabling specific power settings to fix it. To do so, follow the given steps:<\/p>

a.<\/strong> Go to Control Panel,<\/strong> follow Hardware and Sound > Power Options. (See Image 9)<\/strong><\/p>

d.<\/strong> Now, uncheck the boxes of Turn off fast startup (recommended), Sleep, <\/strong>and Hibernate<\/strong> options. Click ‘Save changes.’<\/strong> (See Image 12)<\/strong><\/p>

e.<\/strong> Restart your system to check if the error is fixed.<\/p>

Method 4: Change Your Power Plan Settings<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>

Several users recommended changing the power plan settings may also fix the Stop Code Driver Power State Failure.<\/p>

a.<\/strong> Follow the same steps to reach Power options<\/strong>.<\/p>

b.<\/strong> Next, select Change plan settings<\/strong> on the Power options<\/strong> button. (See Image 13)<\/strong><\/p>

d.<\/strong> A list of settings will display on the screen. Open the Sleep <\/strong>section and ensure that Hibernation<\/strong> and Sleep<\/strong> are set to Never<\/strong>.<\/p>

e.<\/strong> In Power<\/strong> buttons<\/strong> and the lid<\/strong>, ensure that everything is set to Do nothing<\/strong>. Now, click on Apply ><\/strong> OK<\/strong> to save changes. (See Image 15)<\/strong><\/p>

f.<\/strong> If you encounter this error on your laptop, remove its battery and connect it to a power outlet.<\/p>

g.<\/strong> After this, Sleep<\/strong> and Hibernate<\/strong> options will be disabled. Check if the error is resolved now.<\/p>

Method 5: Turn off Power Saver Feature<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>

The Stop Code Driver Power State Failure may occur on your Windows systems when it goes to Sleep mode to save power. You may try to fix the error by turning off this feature.<\/p>

There are three ways to do it:<\/p>

A. Turn off Power Saver in System Settings<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

a.<\/strong> Press Windows + I <\/strong>to open Settings<\/strong> and go to System<\/strong>.<\/p>

b.<\/strong> Go to Power & sleep<\/strong> and set Screen<\/strong> turning off settings to Never<\/strong>.<\/p>

B. Turn off Power Saver from Desktop Taskbar<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

a.<\/strong> If you are using Windows 10 laptop, go to the Battery<\/strong> icon given on the Desktop Taskbar<\/strong> in the right-bottom corner and open Battery Settings<\/strong>. (See Image 18)<\/strong><\/p>

b.<\/strong> Locate Battery<\/strong> on the Settings<\/em> window, and set Turn battery saver on automatically<\/strong> at Never<\/strong>. (See Image 19)<\/strong><\/p>

c.<\/strong> Restart your laptop and check if the issue is fixed.<\/p>

C. Turn off Power Saver in Control Panel<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

a.<\/strong> Open Control Panel<\/strong>, go to Hardware and Sound,<\/strong> and click Power Options<\/strong>.<\/p>

b.<\/strong> Now, select Change power settings<\/strong>. (If you are using a laptop, select Change battery settings<\/strong>.) (See Image 20<\/strong>)<\/p>

e.<\/strong> Find Graphics Settings or PCI Express<\/strong> and expand it.<\/p>

f.<\/strong> Select Link State Power Managemen<\/strong>t and set it to maximum power saving<\/strong>. (See Image 23)<\/strong><\/p>

g. <\/strong>Save the changes and restart your system to check if the problem is solved.<\/p>
