This will open the system information window with more detail.&nbsp;<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"signs-your-mac-is-running-out-of-ram\">Signs Your Mac is Running Out of RAM<\/h2><p>Here are the main signs that your Mac is running low on RAM:<\/p><ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mouse pointer turned into the spinning wheel with your desktop freezing;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The system starts up and shuts down slowly;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apps running slow and not responding;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your Mac&rsquo;s fans are making noise, and your computer overheats.<\/li>\n<\/ol><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how-to-reset-ram-on-your-mac\">How to Reset RAM on Your Mac<\/h2><p><strong>Before you start.<\/strong> Make sure that you have disconnected all USB devices from your Mac since it can prevent the proper registering of the keypresses in the system. The same problem may take place if you use a Bluetooth keyboard. So, if you need one, it is still better to opt for using a wired keyboard when resetting RAM on Mac.<\/p><p>Also, freeing up RAM on Mac may result in losing some of the settings (time zone, startup volume, display features). Declutter Your Desktop<\/h3><p>Let&rsquo;s admit it. The Desktop is the most cluttered place on Mac. Use Google Chrome Task Manager<\/h3><p>If you work intensively in Google Chrome, as I do, consider this tip.<\/p><p>The browser processes, especially the ones that involve the use of GPU (graphic processor unit), are often memory-consuming. Do not forget to quit apps you won&rsquo;t be using during your session.
