As per <a href=\"https:\/\/services.addons.thunderbird.net\/en-US\/thunderbird\/addon\/importexporttools-ng\/statistics\/usage\/?last=90\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Mozilla Add-ons repository<\/a>, there are more than 1 million active users of this add-on.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This Thunderbird add-on helps the users to import or export mailbox items, such as messages, profiles, and folders to MBOX and other formats, including EML, HTML, PDF, CSV, and plaintext. It can also come in handy when exporting mailbox items to MBOX format for backup and migration purposes.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, there have been reports by some users that their ImportExportTools NG add-on is not working. If this is the case, you can remove it and the install it again. This may lead to the add-on not working. You can check the version of the add-on in the &ldquo;<em>Version Compatibility<\/em>&rdquo; section on its page. You can also check this from the Help menu. This happens when two or more add-ons try to control or modify the exact same application resources, files, or internal functions. For eg &ndash; An installed folder organizer tool may alter the context menu, which could hinder the functionality of ImportExportTools NG.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The solution is very straightforward &ndash; restart Thunderbird in safe mode and disable other add-ons. Then, enable them one by one. Doing this will help isolate the problematic add-on\/s.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To eliminate conflicting add-ons in Thunderbird:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Press and hold the &lsquo;<strong>Shift<\/strong>&lsquo; key.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the Thunderbird icon to launch it in safe mode.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open Thunderbird settings using the <strong>gear icon<\/strong> at the bottom. The reason for doing this is simple &ndash; a corrupted Thunderbird user profile can prevent add-ons from working properly.<\/p><blockquote class=\"note_alert\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Caution: <\/strong>Before proceeding, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stellarinfo.com\/blog\/transfer-thunderbird-emails-to-outlook-on-new-computer\/\">locate your Thunderbird profile folder<\/a> and create a copy of the profile folder. This is because resetting will remove all its data &ndash; configured email accounts, local folders, custom mailbox folders, and settings permanently.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After doing this, follow the steps below:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Now, Press <strong>Win + R<\/strong> to open <strong>Run<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Type <strong>thunderbird.exe -ProfileManager<\/strong> and press <strong>Enter<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul><div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"403\" height=\"214\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stellarinfo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Run-window.png\" alt=\"open thunderbird profile manager using run\" class=\"wp-image-192307 apply-gradient-on-post-images\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.stellarinfo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Run-window.png 403w, https:\/\/www.stellarinfo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Run-window-300x159.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 403px) 100vw, 403px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div><ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Thunderbird Profile Manager<\/strong> window will appear.
