What is quick scan and deep scan?
Quick scan is a faster scanning option. If the files are not recovered still, then you can use deep scan. Performing Deep scan is a bit slower but results are better than quick scan.
How much time Stellar Photo Recovery will take to recover data?
The recovery time depends upon the size of the hard disk or volume. If the process is running that means that software is still scanning the deleted files and you have to wait for recovery process to complete. Once the process is complete you can save the recovered file at any selected location.
Can I recover data from my exFAT partition?
Yes, you can recover data from exFAT partition. Stellar Photo Recovery software supports NTFS, FAT, FAT16, FAT32, exFAT, Ext2, Ext3, Ext4, HFS, HFS+, and APFS file systems.
How to find only a particular file type and recover them?
You can search for a specific file in the preview window or from File Type List tab check the File Types category folders as per your choice. The files of the selected 'file types folders' will be listed in the file list pane. Select the files and click Recover. The files are saved at the selected destination.

What is create image, why do I need it?
Using the Create Image File option of Stellar Photo Recovery you can create an image of different storage devices and save them as IMG file. This IMG file can be used to resume the recovery process at a later stage. Creating an image of the hard disk is especially helpful to recover data from a faulty hard drive having a lot of bad sectors.
What is BitLocker? Does Stellar Photo Recovery support BitLocker?
BitLocker is a full volume encryption feature included with Microsoft Windows (Pro and Enterprise only) versions starting with Windows 7. It is designed to protect data by providing encryption for entire volumes. Stellar Photo Recovery supports BitLocker. You can recover data from encrypted drives either by entering the Bitlocker password/Recovery Key or by providing a Bitlocker Startup Key (.BEK file) at the time of scanning the drive.
I have accidentally formatted my camera. How can I recover the data?

Yes. It is essential to not remove your media during the scan or recovery. Media should only be detached once the recovery process completes
How to recover data from a drive that contains bad sectors?
You can create the image of the drive which is a sector by sector copy of the drive to a file. This process creates an image of readable sectors through which you can recover the data quickly.
Why do I receive this error message while using saved scan information file for recovery of data “Please make sure to connect the media whose scan information is being used for recovery”?
This error message appears if you have removed the media after saving the scan information. You need to re-scan your drive to get complete recovery.
Can the software repair the images that are not opening after the recovery?
The software is a recovery application and cannot repair any corrupted images. The data is recovered in the same form as it is available in the media.
I am not able to see my camera in the software. What am I doing wrong?
There is a possibility that your camera does not support access to the memory card as a disk drive. You need to attach the memory card through a card reader for accessing the memory card, and this enables you to scan your camera memory card.
When I am trying to recover the data, I get error “Source and destination are same.”. What shall I do?
You are trying to save the data on the same media from where you are recovering it. Please choose another location to save the files.
