3.1. Installation Requirements

Before installing Stellar Remote Forensic Imaging, users should keep the following points in mind:

• Firewall: Disable any firewall software on the system before installation. Refer to the Disable Firewall section for instructions.

• Antivirus and Real-Time Protection: Disable all antivirus and real-time protection softwares to avoid conflicts during installation. Instructions are available in the Disable Antivirus section.

• Port 445: Ensure that Port 445 is enabled on the system. Refer to the Enable Port 445 section for detailed instructions.

Note: The following prerequisites are necessary for the Client side of the system to ensure proper functionality and compatibility.

Minimum System Requirements

Before you start the installation of Stellar Remote Forensic Imaging, make sure that your system meets the following requirements:

• Processor: x64 Processor (Intel-Compatible).

• Memory: 8 GB (recommended) 4 GB (minimum).

• Operating System: (x64 edition only) Windows 11 / 10 / 8.1 / 8.

• VPN: Ensure an active VPN connection on the remote system.

Note: Active internet connectivity is required for accessing all features of Stellar Remote Forensic Imaging.
