Stellar Partition Manager supports all the versions of Mac OS, from 10.6 and above. It also supports the latest macOS Sierra 10.12 and OS X El Capitan 10.11, 10.10, 10.9, 10.8, 10.7, 10.6.

I am facing problems while resizing a partition using Stellar Partition Manager. What could be the possible causes?
Answer:

The partition you are trying to resize may contain some bad sectors. In such case, the resizing operation fails. Another reason could be that the partition has some errors in the file system.

I saw one of my partitions in hidden mode while using Disk Utility. Also when I tried to mount it, I
was unable to do so. Why?
Answer:

You have made this partition hidden using Stellar Partition Manager. When the software hides a partition, you cannot perform any operation on this partition using Disk Utility. To mount or unhide the partition, you need to reveal it using the software itself.

Can I merge my partitions using Stellar Partition Manager?
Answer:

No, the software does not allow merging partitions

Disk Utility won’t let me resize my Mac partition? What to do?
Answer:

At times, it happens when Disk utility fails to resize any partition on Mac hard drive. It may be the Startup disk partition or any other logical partition that fails to resize via Disk Utility. In such cases, Stellar Partition Manager will help you resize the stubborn partition. This software will create the boot DMG & will start the Mac OS X in bootable environment. Yes, it’s easier to resize Mac partitions through Stellar Partition Manager software over Disk utility because of the following reasons:

  1. Mac partition manager UI is similar to the UI of older Disk Utility hence it is user friendlier as always
  2. Mac partition manager software collects all free spaces at one place i.e. free spaces is gathered below all the partitions. Hence resizing Mac partitions with the availability of free spaces is extremely simple. Unfortunately, Disk Utility doesn’t collect free spaces, rather it makes free spaces as unused spaces.

Does Stellar Partition Manager older version support resizing Boot Camp partition?

Boot Camp Resizing is the new feature of Stellar Partition Manager V3.0 and older version such as 2.5 and 2.0 don’t support Boot Camp resizing. It is recommended to register the latest version of Stellar Partition Manger i.e. V3.0 in order to resize Boot Camp partition.

I tried Stellar Partition Manger Software after Disk Utility failed in creating a new partition on my Mac hard drive. And, within minutes of using this partition manager, the software created a new partition of size 100 GB from the total 200 GB of available hard drive space.

After installing Stellar Partition Manager, I hardly use Disk Utility for partitioning. For every other activity, DU is great, but it simply makes the partitioning task a mess especially on OS X El Capitan. I am awaiting the macOS Sierra upgrade eagerly.

I plugged out a NTFS hard drive from a dead Windows PC and wondered how to use it on Mac. Disk Utility wouldn’t detect the NTFS hard drive so I turned up to Stellar Partition Manager. This software allowed me to format the NTFS hard drive and erase it for Mac OSX Journaled.

Thanks to Stellar Partition Manager for providing a friendlier interface for managing my partitions. Partitioning Mac hard disk with the facelifted Disk Utility is just inconvenient and non-productive. I no longer trust Mac's Disk Utility. The older version was the best. However, I appreciate the work done by the developers of Stellar Partition Manager application. I am waiting for newer updates eagerly.

Thanks for existing Stellar Partition Manager. I had a Windows NT hard drive having 100 GB of files and rest 400 gigs free. With your software, I created another partition on this drive and formatted with HFS transferred Macintosh HD files to it. Disk Utility just don't do it.

Stellar Partition Manager is the boss of Mac partitioning. I used it once and it resized Mac HD to occupy remaining useless 100 Gigs in the most reliable manner.

My hard drive spaces went wasted when disk utility failed to use them for resizing Macintosh HD. I took Stellar Partition Manager boot drive and did the resizing in a bootable environment and it worked as planned.

My Seagate expansion hard drive lost its volume after I ejected the drive forcefully. I tried reformatting the disk with Disk Utility hoping to get back the volume but failed. Tried the same with Stellar Partition Manager and amazingly got back the original drive size. Thank you for being my sidekick Stellar.

Disk Utility has limitation of collecting the free spaces and utilizing for creating/expanding the partitions. Stellar Partition Manager fills this gap in style.

Disk Utility failed to utilize the spaces left after removal of the BootCamp partition. I came to know only a complete hard drive format can fix this issue. But Stellar Partition Manager came to the picture and effectively formatted the unrecognized spaces with HFS file system and got back my spaces

I removed Mavericks 10.9 from my hard drive and downloaded El Capitan to a partition having Yosemite as the 3rd partition on the same drive. But wait, I lost around 230 GBs of spaces after the 10.9 deletion. The Disk Utility gave up and neither could resize Macintosh HD (boot drive) nor the Yosemite partition to consume the spaces. Had enough of it with Disk utility and tried the registered version of the Stellar Partition Manager which showed me the 230 Gbs of spaces at the bottom of the hard drive hierarchy and trust me it was a child's play to resize the macintosh HD and subsequently the Yosemite disk with zero gbs of loss.
