This KB highlights the reasons and resolution steps of Activation Error as experienced in Stellar Repair for MS SQL Software.

Reason 1 for Activation Error: 

Registering the new version of software by an old Key: Activation error is experienced when a user tries to reinstall the software’s updated version on the same machine, and registers with the old Registration key. 

Resolution steps:

There are two options: 

1. Register the same version of the software

  • Contact the Support team at support[at]stellarinfo[dot]com and ask for exe file of the same version.
  • Download that exe file from the given location. This exe is downloaded in activated format as you have already activated it during the previous installation.  

2. Register the updated version of the software

The updated version cannot be activated with the old Registration key. In case you want to update the version, then contact the support team. The updated version of Stellar Repair for MS SQL software is available at decent discount for the existing customers. 

Reason 2 for Activation Error: 

Registering the software on different machine by the same key: Activation error is experienced when a user tries to re-install the same software on a different machine.

Resolution Steps

If you want to use the same software on more than 3 machines(systems), then you have to either request for a new activation key or contact Stellar's technical support department for related queries.
