How much time Stellar Windows Data Recovery will take to recover data?

 Modified on: February 11, 2021 |    12346 views

The recovery time depends upon the size of the hard disk or volume. If the process is running that means that Stellar Data Recovery Professional software is still scanning the deleted files and you have to wait for recovery process to complete. Once the process is complete you can save the recovered file at any selected location.

When the scanning process is started, the software screen shows the scanning process. This displays scanning status, files found, time elapsed and time left for the scanning process on the selected drive.

Hello. I had a question. I have been running the stellar professional recovery software for Windows for almost 48 hours now. I have a 5 TB external hard drive. It seems to have done phase 3 TWICE. I saw it reset the elapsed time and went to 100% TWO times and now says 1 second left for the past 4 hours. Is this normal? Is there anything else I should do or just let it run its course? Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

Hi, I have 1TB external HD that has been corrupted. Stellar Data Recovery has been running like 4 days now, saying it's already on Stage 6 of 7 and it has like 40+ hours remaining. I turned-on the preview and I am not seeing any files/data listed yet, it is just normal?

Dear Sir, Madam,
Stellar has started scanning my 1 TB harddisk 5 hours ago, and has 'only' more than 21000 (sic) hours left (0%, phase 1 of 4).
I suppose I better stop scanning.

How long does an iPhone Mac OS scan take when there’s 80 gb of content?

Hi Kathy,

The scanning time depends upon the size of the internal memory of the iPhone and corruption available in it.

Why don't you respond to anyone RIGHT HERE? I have the same question as everyone else. I've got a 1 TB hard drive (only 126 GB was actually used) and the scan has been running, literally, for over a week now (Marsh 24th to April 1st) and it is 40% complete on "Phase 3 of 5" with nothing to preview.
What in the world is this software doing? Does it just scan forever until it times out and we paid for that 50/50 chance that is a known risk that "not all data is recoverable" - Is ANY data recoverable?

Sincerely,
Frustrated for spending money on this software.

Hi Sam,

The scanning time depends upon the size of the drive and the corruption available in it. Usually, the application does not take that much time to scan the drive.

We suggest you to provide us the below details:

1. How the data was lost from the drive? (Was the drive formatted / Data was deleted)
2.Type of drive from which you wish to recover the data? (Boot Volume / External Drive)
3. Version of Operating System. (If using Mac then SIP is Enabled / Disabled)
4. Size and Type of files that you want to recover
5. Activities performed on the drive after the data loss

For any further query, you may contact our support team by using the below link:

I'm running into the same problem.
I have been running Data Recovery for 72 hours. It took about 48 hours to complete phases 1-2.

Upon checking yesterday morning, it reads:
Phase 3 of 4, 0% Scanned.
Scanning Status: Updating & filtering directory entries
Files Found: Total 1.94 in 4333569 files in 0 folders
Time Elapsed: 12hrs, 12m, 4s
Time Left: 1s

This has been the message for at least the last 24 hrs.

I have a 500GB SSD sata6 hard drive and have been running data recovery for 9 hours now. It seems to be stuck at 9% phase 3 with no progress with any of the timers or status. Just wondering how long should I expect it to take and is there anything I can do to help the recovery speed up a little?

I have a 256 GB iPhone. The scan has been running for over 10 hours. How long is this supposed to take? Thanks.

Dear Benton,

The scanning depends upon the size of data recoverable from iPhone.

We recommend you to please wait for few hours else you can perform the scan only for selective files such as Photo Stream, Apps Library etc.

I have been waiting for hours for the scan to begin on my iphone, still at 0%. What should I do?

I have a 500gb hard disk that was in my laptop when it crashed. It was running windows 10 and wouldnt recover so I purchased a new 500gb hard drive for my laptop and installed it. After I set up windows I then purchased the Stellar professional Tool kit and hooked up the crashed hard drive with a usb adapter and this was 10 DAYS AGO and it is only on scanning phase 3 0f 5 at 20%. No preview. Im going to be very very pissed off if I have to wait another 10 DAYS just to have it tell me the same problem everyone else has that there is not enough space to save or any other bullshit reason it doesnt work. Sounds like alot of people could have avoided many issues if they were given some more of the important information before they began the recovery. Instead of relying on comments and reply threads for information after shit happens it would have been great if there was more in depth instructions to utilize and avoid the problems all together.

Dear Errol,

As software scan is stuck, it is a possibility that external drive might have got disconnected or there are bad sectors in the drive.

Please provide us the below details to analyze the situation:

1. File System of the drive.
2. Type of drive.
3. Reason for data loss.
4. Type of scanning process followed.

Once we receive the above details than we would be able to provide you correct procedure for data recovery.

I have been running the iPhone recovery software for over 17 hours. It is an iPhone SE and 23.5 GB of 64 are used.
When can I expect some results?!?

I have been running Stellar Repair for Access for several hours now. I am using Windows 11. My Access database is 213 mb. The error message is: - The identifier '[tblObjectLog].[Date Entered]' could not be found. It occurs on FrmTblItemLog-Add: CmdRefresh: OnClick: Embedded Macro. Error Number: 3021. This seems to happen on just the first refresh of a record. This also came up when I clicked "Close Form."
So, what am I doing wrong?
