I had recently transferred all of my personal photos of 8 years including the birth of my two children onto a new ******* Hard Drive which also housed all my CD's and DVD as I was to use it as a media drive, before getting chance to back it up, the ******* drive failed in some way, I sent it to ******* data recovery who told me the drive was dead and only recoverable by them, they wanted to charge me £900.00, I told then I couldn't afford that and the contents of the drive were sentimental and the drive had been less than 3 months old. They simply told me that all drives fail at some time and they couldn't do anything about it. After much searching and getting my drive back form ******* , I found Stellar Data Recovery Software , it had to be worth a try. How luck I am I found you and tried it.

In the matter of a couple of days, I recovered the drive and saved all but 10 photos, some 220Gb worth of data . I am certainly not an IT person, but got through with the support of Stellar support and the basic instructions and easy to use software.

I would have no hesitation to recommend the software and company to anyone who is stuck, desperate and desperately doesn't want to loose their data off a drive , and fed up of being quoted hundreds of pounds and fed the ‘black magic' of IT rubbish form large organisation that should look after their customers, not attempt to rip them off. I certainly won't ever buy another ******* product again .

I have purchased your Mailbox Professional and used it on several damaged email pst files, they worked beautifully.

Prior to this, I bought the **** ******* O*****k about 1.5 years ago, it worked at the beginning but failed to repair recently.

I wrote an email to the support team, they told me to purchase an upgrade, I tried but was rejected for the upgrade, and have to purchase a complete new copy! I also downloaded their new trial version, it works! I was very unhappy with their sales techniques and therefore decided to buy your software instead.

Hopefully, your program will not behave like E**y R*******y after some time down the road.

You should know that your software was the only software to recover folders and their contents to seven levels deep. Recovery took 13+ hours on P42.8GHz PC, but it worked. The other two applications failed to get past the root level folders.

After having tried several demos of various products claiming to be able to recover damaged and potentially lost files, I ran across your Stellar Phoenix product demo, and said to myself, and I quote, "Self, might as well try this one too..." Well, the other products had said things back to me like, "FAT table damaged - please run chkdsk utility", or "No files found". Profound disappointment. Just to let you know, I had a hard drive crash and lost more than 5,000 photos. Many weren't terribly important but several hundred were taken by my daughter while she was in Iraq for the US Army. Obviously these photos were very important and could never be taken again.

Because of a misdirection from HP, I had lost my family pictures and videos of the last 5 years, both the originals and the backup ones (who were on a different drive). I run a small data recovery company here in Finland.

Yesterday we received yet another broken Maxtor drive - the main data drive of a Linux server. We made a working copy of it, and started digging the files out. It soon turned out that as the drive had started to fail, it consequently messed the file system (ext3) really badly.

As usual, we attempted recovery using such hardcore tools as DFSee and Testdisk. They were not able to make anything out of the file system remains, so we moved on to forensics software (X-Ways Forensics and EnCase Forensic) attempting to manually rebuild the partition information. Still no success: the partition information was just too badly messed up.

We then ended up trying the Stellar Phoenix Linux software, and were just stunned: it recovered all the data on the drive without *any* problems! It took us about 15 minutes playing around with the trial version to be convinced. The technician license came in a moment ago, and we're in process of extracting our customer's data from the working copy. Everyone's happy.

The program is simply perfect it has small footprint, it's fast, it couldn't be easier to use, and it's very reasonably priced too. And most importantly: it did the job no other program was able to do, including top-of-the-line forensics software priced at around $3,000.

Your software is the best, it recovered NTFS-80GB HD (has been repartition by Windows during Win upgrade by mistake).

It takes around 20 Hours with No Missing file (more than 200 file types) with the same directory strucutre Really I did not expect this excellent result. If you have a word more than excellent please say it.

Other software (Recover My files) takes around 100 Hours and then Hangup!!! with No directory structure, found files are renamed to different names with alot of missing files.

Your software is the right software for recovery.

Stellar Phoenix is the best I found (and I looked at a lot!)

I had an external hardrive that one day just hung when I clicked on my picture folder. I could not access the folder via IE or MSDOS. If was messed up and it contained priceless files.

I don't understand the other person's poor rating. I tried 6-7 other programs and all but one could not recover my data or even read my drive. Only one program was able to recover some files but it renamed all of them! I found all the programs after spending days scouring Google searches and reading reviews. Yes I spent a lot of time because the data I wanted to recover was ALL of my kids baby pictures. I took the HD to a data recovery service bureau. Report was data could be recovered but would cost $900. I believe I had a corrupt partition table. CheckDisk did not work. Norton Disk Doctor did not work. Seasoned IT guys at work spent a few hours trying to ghost the drive on Linux and couldn't access the drive. My wife, an IT Admin was able to ghost the drive so I didn't have to put the original at risk.

Stellar Phoenix offers a FREE trial. I downloaded their free software and ran it. It took 12 hours to scan my 200 GB drive but came up with a report listing all the recoverable files. It took me a few weeks to finally buy the software because I couldn't find many online reviews by paying customers. Anyhow, I finally paid my $79 and a key was immediately emailed to me. I ran the recovery program and let it work for over 2 days. 98% of my files were recovered. About 2% were corrrupted beyond recovery (no fault of Stellar Phoenix, just Maxtor). Thanks Stellar Phoenix for making a product that works!

Thanks so much for your help. The program works and better yet it really does seem to do the job quite well. I did try some other programs that promised the ability to recover data but all of three other programs did not recover any data. Stellar Phoenix did "bring the data back to life", just as the phoenix bird did. The partition table was damaged as was the master boot record boot sector and one copy of the FAT. The program recovered 99% of the files so far (19.2 gigabytes). My wife teaches country and western dancing and this drive had all of her step sheets, music, and lesson plans. She does this teaching with the elderly as a volunteer so spending a lot on data recovery wasn't really an option. But the program really does what it promised and your support was great. Again thanks! If you wish to quote me on any of this please feel free. The program is that good! While I'm not an IT expert, I am an electronic engineer involved in systems engineering of integrated circuits. These designs all use DSP. I use Linux and windows based systems at work and home having built the computers. I started back with the ALTAIR kit computers doing programming so I'm not an expert but not a novice.

There are a lot of similar products out there, which charge the customer according to the Gigs. They are seriously playing with victims, not customers. Their products also do less than yours (in simple words).

Great product. I had a mirror pair of 60GB IDE drives on a Promise TX2 controller when there was a drive failure. According to Promise documentation, I should have been able to plug the good drive into my onboard IDE controller and access it like a new drive but such was not the case. It showed as a Foreign Drive and would not import into Windows 2000 Server. I even tried putting it in other machines with Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP since it was NTFS. I thought I had lost the last 10 years of my life.

I found your product on the Internet, downloaded the demo and viola!, it read the drive. After purchasing Stellar Phoenix NTFS, I was able to recover the entire drive.

" Last night, my 250GB external drive disappeared from Windows' view.

That disk is full of useful stuff; the critical files are backed up, of course, but there's probably 200GB of accumulated data and programs on there that's not backed up and that I'd really prefer not to lose.

I tried three different downloads - ***********, ********, and Stellar Phoenix. Stellar Phoenix seemed to be the smartest and cleanest of the three, bringing up a complete directory tree without trouble. ********** allowed me to recover some small files - but they were corrupt!

overheated terribly and crashed the computer after 20 minutes or so of running I was able to retrieve almost all of the data from the drive before it totally died. “Using the downloaded software i could read the files and copy them into a floppy one by one. But I have about 12gb data and most of the files are huge and cannot be copied into a floppy. So I somehow managed to install windows xp in of the partition and copied all the data into another system.
