Step 1: Run the ‘Rebuild Data’ Utility
Click the File menu, click Utilities and then click Rebuild Data.
In the QuickBooks Information window that appears, select OK.
When prompted to back up your company file, click OK.
Note: While saving a backup, your system may display ‘QuickBooks is not responding’ message. However, if you can see your mouse cursor move, Rebuild hasn’t completed. Wait for it to complete.
Press OK when you see the message ‘Rebuild has completed’.
Step 2: Run the ‘Verify’ Utility
