Stellar Phoenix Database Recovery for MySQL is an advanced and easy to use repair application, which repairs and restores corrupted MySQL database. It supports in depth recovery from both MySQL database storage engines - MyISAM and InnoDB. As the most dynamic MySQL recovery utility, it supports recovery of lost or corrupted MySQL databases created on both Windows and Linux platforms.

Stellar Phoenix Database Recovery for MySQL tool provides user to recover data from database(s) created by using MySQL on Linux operating system. User will need to copy database(s) from Linux operating system to Windows operating system. The rest of the procedure is same as recovering database(s) by manually selecting database(s).

Before starting recovering process, ensure that MySQL is installed on the system on which the recovering process needs to be performed.

Free space same as the size of the selected database(s) is available on the drive on which database(s) are stored.

To recover data from database(s) created in MySQL on Linux operating system :

• In Linux, copy database(s) that needs to be recovered.
• Paste them in the Windows operating system.
• Follow the procedure as described in Selecting database(s) Manually.
• In Windows, copy the recovered folder.
• Paste them in the Linux operating system.

To Stop Current Process :

User can stop an ongoing repairing process by using the stop functionality of Stellar Phoenix Database Recovery for MySQL tool. To stop an ongoing repairing process :

• Click ‘Red Cross’ button to stop an ongoing process. User can also use File and select Stop to stop the process.
• The Stellar MySQL Recovery dialog box opens, prompting whether to stop or continue the process. Click Yes to stop the process or No to continue the process.
• If No is selected then the process will continue. If Yes is selected the process will be terminated. The Stellar MySQL Recovery dialog box opens showing the message-Process stopped by user. Click OK to close the dialog box.

Database(s)s Preview

Stellar Phoenix Database Recovery for MySQL software provides preview of database(s), before and after the completion of recovery process. This software does not require MySQL to be installed on system to preview database(s). User will need to select database(s) to preview them. There are three scenarios that user can face in order to preview database(s):

• MySQL is installed
• MySQL is not installed
• Linux database(s) preview

How can I rcover my Database ?

Stellar Phoenix Database Recovery for MySQL tool can select database(s) automatically or manually for recovering process. MySQL should be installed on the system on which the recovery process needs to be performed. There should be the free space same as the size of database(s) should be available on the drive on which the database(s) are stored. For example, database(s)s are stored in the C:. Size occupied by the database(s) is 10 Gigabytes (GB). User wants to recover the entire database(s). Then, the same size that is 10 GB should be free on the C: for the successful completion of the recovery process. If the free space available on the C: is less than the 10 GB then an error will be shown.

In order to recover data from a corrupted MySQL database(s), you will need to open the corrupted database(s). If both, MySQL and Stellar Phoenix Database Recovery for MySQL software are installed on the same system then this software can automatically open MySQL database(s) stored at default location of MySQL.

If user wants to select database(s) from different location then the user can browse for database(s) by using this tool. How to Select Database which you want to repair manually ?

If user selects a folder from a different location then the corresponding ibdata file should be provided by the user. If ibdata file is not available for corresponding database then this tool cannot load the selected database.

Before starting recovering process, ensure that

• MySQL is installed on the system on which the recovering process needs to be performed.
• Free space same as the size of the selected database(s)s is available on the drive on which database(s)s are stored.

To select and recover database(s) from the desired location :

• Open Stellar Phoenix Database Recovery for MySQL tool. Stellar Phoenix Database Recovery for MySQL screen opens. Select Manual selection of database(s) for recovery option. The Browse button will be activated.
  Note: If MySQL and Stellar Phoenix Database Recovery for MySQL software are installed on the same system then Repair corrupt database(s) stored at default location is selected by default.
  Click Browse. The Browse for Folder dialog box opens. Select the folder that contains database(s).
  Click OK.
• If the ibdata file for the corresponding database(s) is available in the same folder then the list of all database(s) is shown in the Stellar Phoenix Database Recovery for MySQL screen. Otherwise, the Stellar Phoenix MySQL Recover dialog box opens prompting user to provide the path of ibdata file.
• Click Browse to locate the ibdata file. The Open dialog box opens. Locate the ibdata file and click Open. Click OK twice.
• The Stellar Phoenix Database Recovery for MySQL screen opens, showing the database(s) stored in the selected folder.
• Select the checkbox of the database(s)s that needs to be recovered. Click OK after selecting the desired database(s).
• The selected database(s) tree structure appears in the left pane. Expand the tree structure to view all components under that database(s).By default, all components are selected under the tree structure.
• Either a single component or the entire database(s) can be repaired by using this tool. To repair a single component uncheck all the components by clearing the Stellar MySQL Recovery checkbox or the database name checkbox. Select the required task.
• Start the repair process by clicking icon in the taskbar. The Stellar Phoenix Database Recovery for MySQL dialog box appears. Repair process can also be started by clicking File and selecting Start Repair. Click Yes to start the process.
• The MySQL Recovery dialog box appears, prompting for the User Login Information of MySQL database. Provide the required information. Click OK.
• The Messagelog pane shows the processing of the repair process. The Stellar Phoenix Database Recovery for MySQL dialog box opens after the successful repair of the selected database(s). Click OK to close the dialog box.
• Click File and select Exit to close the Stellar Phoenix Database Recovery for MySQL tool. The Stellar Phoenix MySQL Phoenix Recovery dialog box open. Click Exit to close the tool.
• The selected database(s) or component is repaired and ready to use after the repairing process. A folder will be created at the same location where the original folder is located after the successful completion of the repairing process. This folder contains the recovered data. This folder name is prefixed by 'recovered' word followed by the database name. For example, if the database name is student then the name of the folder will be recovered_student.

Your software worked flawlessly. I had a boot drive that would continually loop and go into "safe mode" upon boot up. I could not boot into DOS to see what was out there.
