The “Stellar Volume Repair” utility repaired the corrupt directory structure of HFS formatted hard drives on Mac to salvage inaccessible data. This software was discontinued after Apple introduced APFS, the new file system.

2. On the Disk Utility window, select the corrupt volume from the left then click Erase.

3. Provide the Name, Format, and Scheme then click Erase.

4. When the erase process is complete, click Done.

In case of the corrupt Macintosh HD, you need to erase it by using Disk Utility in macOS Recovery then reinstall macOS via Time Machine backup.
