How to Upgrade Stellar Data Recovery Free Edition for Mac to Professional?

Stellar Data Recovery Free Edition software comes with an advanced upgrade feature that allows you to upgrade your free edition to a higher edition.

Why Upgrade Free Mac Data Recovery Software in First Place?

The free Mac data recovery tool helps you restore 1 gigabyte of lost or deleted files. But the recoverable files must be less than 25 MB in size. To overcome 1 gigabyte and file size capping it is highly recommended to upgrade the Free Edition to a higher version i.e. to Professional, Premium or Technician.

To upgrade your free 1 Gb software to Professional edition, perform the following steps:

Step 1) Launch Stellar Data Recovery Free Edition on your Mac.

Step 2) From the top panel, click the Activation icon.


Step 3) From the dialog window, enter the Professional key, then click Activate.

Step 4) In case you don’t have a key, click Get it now.


Step 5) Buy the Professional version. You will receive the activation code on your registered email ID after a successful checkout.

Step 6) Use the key to activate your software to Professional edition.


After pressing the Activate button you will receive the below message. Press OK.


Once a successful upgrade is done you will find the upgraded software name in the UI’s top header.


Further, you can upgrade the Professional version to Premium or Technician edition.

Here is how:

Step 1) Launch Stellar Data Recovery Professional on your Mac.

Step 2) From the software’s top panel, click the Gear icon. Select Upgrade to Higher Edition.


Step 3) From the dialog window, click Get Upgrade Key.

Step 4) Purchase the Premium or Technician license. Fetch the key from registered email id.

Step 5) Use the key to upgrade the software.

Once the upgrade is successful, the software unlocks all the features of the purchased edition.
